Muscles

If you didn't have muscles you wouldn't be able to move any part of your body because your muscles are attached to your bones and that lets you move. There are more than 600 muscles in your body. You control some of your muscles and some of them are like your heart which just do there job on their own without you reminding them to. All muscles are made out of a type of tissue. You have three different types of muscles in your body. They are smooth muscles, cardiac muscles and skeleton muscles. You can't control smooth muscles you brain tell the muscle what to do. the smooth muscles are working all around your body and you don't even notice. Smooth muscles are also in your bladder. They allow you to hold urine (pee) until you go to the bathroom. So now you know that muscles are an important part of your body!
Skeleton

Once there was a boy and he (and his class) was studding about the skeleton and the bones. He found out that there are many bones in your skeleton. Soon he knew that there are 206 bones in an adults body. He was interested on finding out that a bone is made out of. The surface of the bone is called the periosteum. The layer after that is made out of compact bone. A compact bone is smooth but very hard. After that there are many layers of the cancellous. Cancellous is not as hard as the compact bone but the bone is very strong. Now the boy found this very interesting. The thing was that in most bones the cancellous protects the most inner part of your bone called the bone marrow and the bone marrow's job is too make blood cells. The boy had a very interesting session with his class about the skeleton and bones and then he told everyone everything he knew about bones.
X-Rays

Do you know what takes a picture of you body?
Have you ever have to have an X-Ray? An X-Ray is photos of your body. They are usually used for seeing if you have broken a bone or to see if you have dislocated a joint. In an X-Ray the air turns out to be black and the bones turn out to be white. So if you have to take an X-Ray of your lungs (and you are not a smoker) and the lungs are black. Don’t think your lungs are really polluted! A technologist is the person who is trained and knows how to take a picture of an X-Rays. So you better do what he tells you to do! When you will take an X-Ray the technologist will tell you to stay very still and not to breath for a few seconds as the X-Ray is being taken. The technologist tells you to do that because if you do maybe the X-Ray that comes out will be bleary. Usually taking an X-Ray is uncomfortable because of the cold room and maybe you will be standing, sitting or lying down in an awkward position. The technologist will find the most comfortable position for the X-Ray to be good quality but still the best position still might not be comfortable! So now you know what to do if you ever need to take an X-Ray!
The Skeletal and Muscular System

The Skeletal and Muscular System is the system about the muscles and skeleton. The skeleton is the basic frame work of your body. Some of the parts in your skeletal-macular system are muscles, skeleton, ligaments and cartilage. Ligaments and like rubber bands that hold two muscles together. Sometimes people tear a ligament and that can sometimes happen because you haven't stretched. Stretching is very importuned because if you haven't stretched your ligaments get a shock and they tear apart. That is very painful but you can just have them back together by warping yourself a kind of bandage. Cartilage is a very soft bone. You can fell some of your cartilage in your ear. If you didn't have muscles than you would not be able to move any part of your body where there is a bone. Now go ahead and read about the Skeleton and Muscular System!
Smoking
Smoking can harm some of the parts in your body. One of the parts smoking can harm is your lungs. Smoking cigarettes causes a lot of changes in you airways. Cigarets is made out of tobacco leaf and the leaf might not seem harmful at all but hen the tobacco is burning there are more than 4,000 chemicals in the cigarette. The cigarette has a chemical that can make normal cells into cancer cells. There is a cleaning system in your lungs and when you smoke cigarettes the cleaning system slows down. The cilia cleans your lungs and when you smoke the cilia can slow down for a few hours. Smoking also reduces some of your cilia's and then you have less cilia's in your lungs. So that means you have less cleaners in your lungs. When you smoke the tissue in your lungs in destroyed so you have less air sacks and blood vessels in your lungs because of that less oxygen in carried around your body. You can harm your lungs without smoking. you harm your lungs when other people are smoking near you. That is called second hand smoke. Some people want to quite smoking but they can't because smoking is very addictive and you just can't sop even if you want to however, there are some people who have stopped smoking and that could be the most important thing you have done in your life.
Bonchitis

Once there was a boy and he had a very bad cough with a rasping noise. He could not sleep or eat. So he went to the doctor. The doctor took out his stethoscope and checked whether he had any wheezing because to check if his chest was clear. the doctor found out that he did have a wheezing noise and then he knew that he had bronchitis. The doctor explained "Bronchitis is when the germs cause your bronchioles to swell up so that there is not enough space for air to pass this results in coughing. i will give you this medicine to eat every day and then you will be fine".
Lungs

The lungs have a very important part to play in the respiratory system. There are two lungs in your body the right lung is in the right side of the heart and left is in the left side of your heart. So they surround the two opposite sides of the heart. The lungs main job is to put the oxygen into the blood. Once the air goes through the mouth or nose, it travels through the pharynx (another name for throat), nasopharynx and the trachea (wind pipe), and the air also goes through the bronchi and bronchioles (small tubes) until it finally reaches the alveoli where the air is exchanged of carbon dioxide and oxygen. Now let’s talk about some number facts about the lungs. About 90% of the lungs are made up of air and only 10% is made up of hard tissue. A male’s average of how much one of the lungs weight is 1060 grams and female’s average of how much the lung weight is 930 grams. Some more amazing facts about the lungs are at least one liter of air stays in your lungs no matter how hard you breathe out. Each lung is about 10-12 inches long. In an average persons life a person takes about half a billion breathes. If all the different sized tubes in the lungs were connected and stretched out they would go more than 50 kilometers! In both lungs of an adult there are about 300 million alveoli! Do you smoke? Smoking is very addictive and smoking is very harmful to your lungs and some other parts of your body. Do you want to keep your lungs healthy or are you already keeping your lungs healthy? Well if you want to the simplest way to keep your lungs healthy is just to exercise often. Just keep on exercising at least 2-3 times a week and you will have a long!
The Respiratory System

The Respiratory System is a system about breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide. Some of the parts in the respiratory system are nose, mouth, tracheae, bronchi and lungs. The air taken in of through the nose passes through the bronchi into bronchioles that line the entire surface of the lungs. Oxygen from the air diffuses into the blood and carbon dioxide from the blood diffuses out. Any obstruction in the air passage leads to a response by the body such as sneezing or coughing. So now go ahead and read about the respiratory system!
