X-Rays

Do you know what takes a picture of you body?
Have you ever have to have an X-Ray? An X-Ray is photos of your body. They are usually used for seeing if you have broken a bone or to see if you have dislocated a joint. In an X-Ray the air turns out to be black and the bones turn out to be white. So if you have to take an X-Ray of your lungs (and you are not a smoker) and the lungs are black. Don’t think your lungs are really polluted! A technologist is the person who is trained and knows how to take a picture of an X-Rays. So you better do what he tells you to do! When you will take an X-Ray the technologist will tell you to stay very still and not to breath for a few seconds as the X-Ray is being taken. The technologist tells you to do that because if you do maybe the X-Ray that comes out will be bleary. Usually taking an X-Ray is uncomfortable because of the cold room and maybe you will be standing, sitting or lying down in an awkward position. The technologist will find the most comfortable position for the X-Ray to be good quality but still the best position still might not be comfortable! So now you know what to do if you ever need to take an X-Ray!
